Straight through processing

Definition 1 (General): Straight through processing is an end-to-end automated processing performed without human intervention. It limits the manual process for employees and therefore speeds up the transaction processing time.

Definition 2: Straight through processing is the capture of trade details directly from front-end trading systems and complete automated processing of confirmations and settlement instructions without the need for rekeying or reformatting data.

Definition 3: Straight through processing is the completion of pre-settlement and settlement processes based on trade data that is manually entered only once into an automated system.
